Email Notifications

How to add inbox destinations and set a severity threshold on Settings → Notifications.

Email Notifications is the first card on Settings → Notifications. The card copy is: Receive security alerts and notifications directly in your inbox.

Only users who can manage settings see Add Email and the Delete action.

Add an address

  1. Open Settings → Notifications.
  2. In Email Notifications, click Add Email.
  3. Enter the address.
  4. Set the Severity Threshold and, if needed, Suppressed sources.
  5. Save.

The table has one column, Email Address. Edit and Delete are in each row's menu.

You can add more than one address. Each address has its own threshold and suppressed sources.

You cannot change an address after saving it. Delete the row and add the new address.

Severity threshold

The threshold is a minimum: the selected severity and everything above it send email.

Medium is preselected when you add an address.

Suppressed sources

Risks from these source integrations will never trigger this notification. The risks still appear on Vulnerabilities. When nothing is selected, the picker reads None. Risks from all sources notify.

Suppressed sources are available only for email. Webhook and chat destinations do not have them.

Invited users

When you invite a new user from Settings → Users, Guard adds that user's address to this card with the account's default threshold. Praetorian addresses are not added. If someone is not receiving risk email, check that their row is here.

Chat alerts are set up on Chat Messaging. The periodic security health report email is set up on Scheduled Reports.
