Scan Status is the first card on Settings → Scanning. It shows Active or Paused. When scanning is active, the card shows <code>Next run: …</code>. When scanning is paused, it shows <code>Scans are paused</code>.
<h2>Pause scans</h2>
Pause Scans stops the creation of new automatic scans. Scans that are already running continue to completion, and you can still start scans manually.

Resume Scans starts creating automatic scans again at the next scheduled run.

If you cannot edit settings, the Pause Scans / Resume Scans button is hidden.
