<h1>Scan Status</h1>
<p><strong>Scan Status</strong> is the first card on <strong>Settings → Scanning</strong>. It shows whether Guard is creating new automatic scans, and when the next run is due.</p>
<h2>Pause vs resume</h2>
<p><strong>Pause</strong> stops <em>creation of new automatic scans</em>. Scans that are already running continue to completion. You can still launch scans by hand (Jobs). The button is styled as a destructive action and asks for confirmation.</p>
<p><strong>Resume</strong> starts creating automatic scans again on the next scheduled opportunity. The subtitle shows <code>Next run: …</code> when scanning is active, or <code>Scans are paused</code> when frozen.</p>
<p>The frozen flag is the tenant setting <code>frozen</code> (<code>"true"</code> to pause). That is the same pause used from the Jobs table.</p>
<h2>Who can change it</h2>
<p>Anyone with <strong>manage settings</strong> (Admin) when the tab is editable. The control is hidden in read-only views (for example impersonation without edit).</p>
