Per-scan AI Budget

The dollar ceiling on a single AI-powered capability scan (for example Constantine), and how it differs from the monthly cap.

Per-scan AI Budget

Per-scan AI budget is the maximum AI spend one AI-powered capability scan may incur. The default is $250. Constantine is the usual example: a long agentic scan that could otherwise consume a large fraction of the monthly cap in one run.

How it relates to the monthly cap

Per-scan AI budget

One scan, regardless of how much monthly headroom remains

A scan that hits the per-scan ceiling stops even if the monthly cap still has room. Conversely, a scan can fail earlier if the Constantine category (or the shared monthly cap, if allocation is off) is already exhausted.

Who can edit

Super-admin only. Customer admins see Edit locked and are directed to support@praetorian.com. The value is a tenant configuration, not a Settings flag customers self-serve.

What it does not cover

Marcus chat turns, Cato auto-triage runs, and scheduled Hannibal hunts are not "a single Constantine-style scan." Those bill against their own monthly categories. This card does not set those.
