Scan scheduling allows you to define specific time windows during which Chariot will perform scanning activities. This feature helps you manage system resources effectively and ensures scans occur during optimal times for your organization.

Setting Up a Scan Schedule

Time Window Configuration

You can configure two key aspects of your scan schedule:

  1. Days of the Week: Select which days scanning should occur
  2. Time Window: Define the start and end times for scanning activities

Time Zones

  • Scan schedules can be configured by time zone
  • Available options:
    • UTC (Coordinated Universal Time)
    • ET (Eastern Time)

Schedule Management

Creating a New Schedule

  1. Navigate to Settings in the main navigation
  2. Select the Scan Settings tab
  3. Locate the "Scan Schedule" section
  4. Configure your schedule:
    • Select days using the radio buttons for each day of the week
    • Choose start time from the dropdown menu (30-minute increments)
    • Choose end time from the dropdown menu (30-minute increments)
    • Select your timezone (UTC or ET) from the dropdown menu
  5. Click "Save" to apply the schedule

Modifying an Existing Schedule

You can update your scan schedule at any time by:

  1. Adjusting the selected days
  2. Modifying the time window
  3. Saving your changes

Deleting a Schedule

To remove a scan schedule:

  1. Navigate to the scan schedule settings
  2. Click the "Reset to Default" button
