Scan Schedule

How often Guard re-scans (cadence) and the optional UTC launch window. Super-admin only.

Scan Schedule

Scan Schedule states cadence and window in one sentence on Settings → Scanning. Examples: a weekly re-scan any time, or a daily re-scan between 02:00–06:00 UTC.

Cadence and window are independent. You can have a cadence with no window ("Any time"). A window without a cadence is not a complete schedule.

Cadence

Cadence	Meaning
Daily	Re-scan every day
Weekly	Re-scan every calendar week
Biweekly	Re-scan every 2 weeks
Monthly	Re-scan once a month (pick day 1–31, or last day)
Quarterly	Re-scan once a quarter

Unset tenants behave like daily (the backend is fail-open). Saving without changing anything preserves that.

Times are UTC. There is no Eastern Time picker on this wizard (older help text that mentioned ET is wrong).

A window is simply one or more selected days. If start and end are missing or equal, the window is all day.

Who can edit

Super-admin only. Customer Admins see Edit locked: Contact your Praetorian account team to update this setting. Same cost-control gate as Monthly AI Spend and Scan Level.

The wizard is two steps (cadence, then window). Non-super-admins cannot open it.
