Signatures Catalog
How to browse, filter, preview, and launch Nuclei templates from the Signatures catalog on the Vulnerabilities page.
Overview
The Signatures catalog is a searchable, filterable table of Nuclei templates mounted directly on the Vulnerabilities page. It replaces the previous three-pane IDE view, letting security teams discover, preview, and enqueue templates without leaving their vulnerability workflow.
All customers can browse the Global template catalog in read-only mode. Actions that modify templates — Create, Import, Generate from CVE, Edit YAML, and Refine with AI — remain available to Praetorian operators only and appear disabled for other users.
Accessing the Signatures Catalog
- Navigate to Vulnerabilities in the Guard sidebar.
- Select the Signatures tab.

The catalog loads the complete Global template tree automatically. No additional permissions or feature flags are required.
Browsing and Filtering Templates
The catalog renders as a table consistent with the Capabilities catalog layout. Each row represents a single Nuclei template and shows its name, protocol, scope, and any applicable flags.
Two filter controls narrow the visible template set:
Both filters can be combined. Clear any filter to return to the full template list.
Previewing a Template
Click any row in the catalog to open the YAML modal — a full-width overlay that displays the complete, untruncated YAML source for that template. The modal replaces the previous horizontal-scrolling editor pane.
Close the modal to return to the catalog without losing your current filter state.
Enqueueing a Template
From within the YAML modal, use the enqueue control to schedule the template for execution against your targets. Templates marked Privileged (see below) cannot be enqueued by non-Praetorian users.
Mutation Controls
The following actions are visible in the catalog interface but are restricted to Praetorian operators:
These controls appear disabled when accessed outside a Praetorian-managed account.
Privileged Templates
Templates developed for CVE researcher workflows that require elevated access are marked with a Privileged badge in the catalog. These templates are visible to all users for reference but are restricted from enqueueing outside of Praetorian-managed accounts.
Template Coverage
The catalog fetches the complete Global Nuclei template tree, including directories that GitHub's recursive listing API would otherwise truncate. Internal workflow paths and customer-specific template paths are excluded from the catalog view. The result is that every customer-relevant Global template is discoverable from the catalog.
