Scan Schedule

See how often Guard re-scans your assets and the optional launch window, which only super-admins can change.

Scan Schedule on Settings → Scanning sets how often Guard re-scans your assets (the cadence) and, optionally, the days and hours when scans may launch (the window). The card sums up both in one sentence, for example a weekly re-scan at any time, or a daily re-scan between 02:00–06:00 on selected days. The schedule applies to all assets in the account.

If no schedule has been saved, the card shows Default and reads No schedule set — Default: scan daily at 00:00 UTC.

For Monthly, choose the day of the month (1–31 or Last day). For Quarterly, choose the anchor-month day.

Days & Times

Choose Any time to let scans launch whenever the cadence is due, or Specific window to limit launches to selected days and hours.

  • Pick at least one day. A window with no start and end time, or with equal start and end times, covers the whole day.
  • A time window must be at least 6 hours long.
  • Choose the Timezone the window times are shown in. The card labels the window with that time zone.

Edit the schedule

  1. On the Scan Schedule card, click Edit.
  2. In Edit Scan Schedule, choose a cadence on the Cadence step and click Next.
  3. On the Days & Times step, choose Any time or Specific window.
  4. Click Save. Guard shows Scan schedule updated.

Who can edit

Only super-admins can change the scan schedule. For other users, Edit is locked with the tooltip Contact your Praetorian account team to update this setting.
