Per-scan AI Budget

The dollar ceiling on a single AI-powered capability scan (for example Constantine), and how it differs from the monthly cap.

Per-scan AI budget on Settings → AI is the "Max AI spend for a single scan (e.g. Constantine). Default $250." Today, Constantine source code analysis scans are the scans that use it.

How it relates to the monthly limit

A scan stops at the per-scan budget even if the monthly limit still has room. The monthly limit still applies too, so a scan can also stop because monthly usage reached the limit.

Who can edit

Only a super-admin can change the value. Everyone else sees the card locked with Contact support@praetorian.com to update the AI budget.

To change it, click Edit, enter a whole-dollar amount from $1 to $10,000 in Set per-scan AI budget, and save.

What it does not cover

Marcus conversations, Cato validation, and Hannibal hunts do not use this budget. They count against the monthly limit and their Category Allocation shares.
