Chat Messaging

How Slack, Microsoft Teams, Google Chat, and Zulip alert destinations are added from Settings → Notifications.

Chat Messaging

Chat Messaging is the card that lists connected chat alert destinations. The card copy is: Send alerts to Slack, Microsoft Teams, Google Chat, or Zulip.

Add Integration requires manage-settings. It opens the same connect flow used on Integrations. This card does not document OAuth or workspace admin steps — those live under Integrations → Workplace Messaging.

The four providers on this card:

  • Slack (slack) — incoming-webhook style alerts, not the Marcus chatbot
  • Microsoft Teams (teams)
  • Google Chat (gchat)
  • Zulip (zulip)

The Marcus Slack Chat Bot (slack_bot) is a different integration. When that bot is enabled for the tenant, a channel picker also appears on this card. Bot setup is Integrations → Workplace Messaging → Slack (Chat Bot).

After a destination is connected

The table lists the connected chat integration. Edit opens a view modal where you set Severity Threshold (same Critical / High / Medium / Low / Info cumulative options as email). Chat does not have the email-only suppressed-sources picker.

Delete disconnects that destination.
